Sands Hotel - Rehoboth Beach, DE…

The Front of the Sands Hotel.
My wife and I had a pretty busy weekend.

I had planned to replace the brakes on my truck Saturday, April 5th. Got my new brake shoes and hardware but I almost forgot that we where going out with our parents for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel.

My parents where staying at the Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for a conference and we went down Saturday morning to have breakfast with them.

Boardwalk View of the Sands Hotel.
The hotel sits right on the boardwalk and has a beautiful view of the beach.

Sands Hotel Balcony View

My parents had a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor which offered the perfect area to sit and catch the ocean breeze.

After we finished breakfast and went for a walk on the beach I headed home to start the repair of my brakes on my truck. The only thing was I wasn’t able to start until late, so I ended working on them again Sunday afternoon.

Got the breaks finished, spent time at the Sands Hotel with my parents, and took in some nice scenes down at Rehoboth Beach. It wasn’t a crazy weekend but after starting the weekend off at the beach… it was kinda hard to go and work on brakes.

I probably should have tried to take care of the breaks first, then top the weekend off on a high note down at the beach.  ;-)

Easter Dinner…

Delaware Family Easter Dinner

My family and I had a great time on Easter Sunday. As you can see from the spread above. We all got together after church for a big Easter Dinner.

We actually had more food but I neglected to get all the pictures. I guess it was because my other hand had a full plate in it.
I ended up making a mean apple crisp for dessert, which is a favorite of both my mom and mother-in-law.

All in all we had a great time and to top it off we ate dinner while we watched Will Smith’s new movie, which just came out on DVD, “Legend”.

Out for a Birthday Dinner…

Filed under: Birthdays, Restaurants — tonywarrin @ 12:13 pm

Shucker's Pier 13 Restaurant in Delaware

Who’s Birthday? Well it was my mom’s birthday and by her calculations she turned… 21 years old (smile). My wife and I took my parents out to eat at one of our favorite Delaware seafood restaurants… Shuckers Pier 13 in Dover, DE.

My family have always loved seafood and by living in Delaware we seem to always be exposed to it in one fashion or another. We had an extremely fun time at Shuckers. The seafood is always delicious and the atmosphere is always nice and romantic.

Of course all of us ended up taking our food home because it was too much to finish off. They don’t have a buffet… and they don’t need one with the amount of food they serve you.

My mom and dad had the Fried Jumbo Combo and believe me… it’s a Combo that you won’t be able to finish.

We all ended up having a great time at Shuckers.
